Welcome to the StingbatBot User Guide! This guide will help you get started with using the bot and its various features.
Getting Started¶
Available Commands¶
StingbatBot uses Discord slash commands. Type / in Discord to see available commands with autocomplete.
Character Management¶
/character- Manage your characters (list, select, delete, import, update, sheet, inventory)/notes- Manage personal notes for your character
Combat & Dice¶
/attack- Roll attacks with weapons/cast- Cast spells/check- Roll ability checks/roll- Roll dice expressions (supports multiple rolls withcount)/rollstats- Roll 6 random ability scores
Initiative & Combat Tracking¶
/init- Initiative tracking and combat management/hp- Modify or display HP for combatants/stats- Modify ability scores during combat/effect- Add or remove effects from combatants/rest- Rest a character (heals HP, removes modifications)/party- View all player characters in initiative
Monster Management¶
/monster- Search, add, edit, delete monsters, and roll monster attacks
Resource Tracking¶
/xp- Manage character XP (DM to award/deduct, players can view)/coin- Manage character coins with transaction history/renown- Manage character renown (reputation)/luck- Manage luck tokens during initiative
Utility¶
/help- List available commands or get help for a specific command/ping- Check bot responsiveness/license- Display the license!prefix- Set the prefix used for legacy commands (prefix-only)
Using Slash Commands¶
All commands use Discord's slash command system:
/command subcommand option:value
For example:
/character select name:Gandalf
/init begin mode:Rolled
/roll expression:2d6+5
/xp gain amount:15 note:defeating the dragon character:Gandalf
Discord provides autocomplete for many options, showing you available choices as you type.
